Negeri Sembilan Durians are ruggedly intense. The cool mists and hot sunny days make some of the best quality durians in the country with an egg-custard density to them that makes their textures extra rich, satiating and luxurious. Their flavors tend toward earthy flavors like robust coffee, chocolate, whiskey and rum and even metallic and chemical bites!
Beware – the durians in this box are funkier, stronger, and more classic Durian-y than durians from other places, like Penang. You may run yourself into more trouble with your local fire station 😆 warn the neighbors before imbibing!

To get these durians to you still cold, we need sturdy insulation. We have switched to a corn-based
*Compostable Insulation*
To get these durians to you still cold, we are using a compostable insulation made out of corn. Simply remove the plastic and throw into your compost pile, or throw it in the sink, turn the water on, and watch it melt.
*Compostable Trays*
The trays are made out of Bagasse, the sugar-cane fibers that are thrown away while making sugar. They are biodegradable and compostable, so don’t feel about bad tossing them in your garbage bin or the garden.
*Yes, we Test!*
We buy from small farms that promise us they are not using pesticides and herbicides, so although we could assume that our durians are pesticide-residue free, we decided to go ahead and pay for testing from a laboratory as well. No surprise – our durians contain zero residues and zero heavy metals.

Exceptional packaging and love the detailed pamphlet that comes with each order. I bought this as a treat for my family who usually gets the durian at 99 ranch- nothing wrong with that but I love how this is lovingly curated and we get to sample a variety.
Frozen coconut water was fresh and reminded us of the tropics. I like the approach to sustainable packaging.
D168 (IOI Johor Mas) is a fan favorite in our house, more than Musang King. This was instantly gone the day that we tried it. D24 was my second favorite and it did remind me of cookie dough which was surprising to me. Since the other varieties were so sweet D78 was too strong of a contrast and bitter. We took one bite and went back to eating the rest of D168. I would recommend eating this one on another day on its own as we enjoyed the first three so much.
I would recommend this for any durian lovers who want to sample the best of what Malaysia has to offer in unique durian flavors.

Hi Lindsay and Richard- i absolutely 💯 love this new box from Jelebu! All 4 packets were nicely packaged and frozen upon arrive together with the coco water that acts like an iced packaging! Have wolfed down the Musang King the day it arrived (patiently waited for it to thaw naturally!) and a day later the D78. I am loving the D78!!! You guys do not disappoint!
