TERMS FOR DURIAN BOXES
The following reasons are covered under our refund/replacement policy:
- We will replace boxes lost by UPS/FedEx
- Late delivery or improper handling by UPS/FedEx that results in spoilage or damage
- Anything that is our mistake is on us
To claim a refund/replacement, please notify us within *24 hours* of receiving your box by emailing a photo to [email protected]
Other issues are solved on a case-by-base basis and may include partial credit.
If the box is lost in the black hole currently known as the Oakland UPS Hub, we know about it and will get in touch as we are also watching your tracking #.
- Please notify us of cancellations before the Friday 11:59PM before the Shipping Monday. All boxes ship on Monday only.
TERMS FOR DURIAN TOURS
Everyone who signs up for a durian tour MUST show proof that they have travel medical insurance before arrival to the first day of the tour or I will make a big fuss and not let you get in the van with us. Extra disappointed-face emojis ???
I use and recommend GeoBlue’s Voyager Plan, which allows up to 6 months of travel plus 1 extension, but there are many other travel insurances out there.
Payment for tours
All bookings for tours must be paid for in full to confirm the booking. We accept payment by Paypal, credit card, or bank transfer. All bookings are made by emailing [email protected]
We cannot accept deposits at this time. Sorriesnotsorries.
I’ll be sad if you can’t make it, but I understand that sometimes things happen that are more important than durian.
You are always welcome to re-sell your spot on tour to another durian lover. Just make sure you tell me what’s up.
If you absolutely can’t come or resell your ticket, the refund policy is as follows:
If you cancel more than 60 days before departure, you’ll get 75% of your money back. If you cancel 60-30 days before departure, a 50% refund. Cancellation within 30 days of departure results in a 0% refund, but I’ll be happy to give you a discount toward future tours and events.
We do highly recommend a general travel insurance with a cancellation policy that will cover you in case you need to cancel last minute. We are happy to supply documentation and support if you need to file with your insurance company.
