Rob and I have eaten durian almost every day of this year. While flying to Sri Lanka, we were faced with an 18 hour layover at Changi Airport in Singapore and a possible day without durian. Singapore, the land that caters to durian obsession, came to the rescue. We didn’t even have to leave the airport to get our durian fix.
Instead we headed over to terminal 3, where Durian Mpire has a branch. Two durian smoothies later and we were good to go. They also sell whole pieces of D24 and Musang King durian, which they can super-wrap to go in your checked in luggage. Although this may be the only place on earth where you can buy and eat durian inside of an airport, you’re still not supposed to take it on the plane.

can we get fresh durians at Changi airport to eat and packed in well so that it can be carried in hand luggage suit case.

As of writing they didn’t carry fresh durian, only durian products.
